The Romanshorn-based branding agency Mediawork is celebrating its tenth anniversary—and is using the occasion to further refine its positioning. What began in 2016 in a basement office with a single client has grown into an agency with six employees, more than 80 clients, and approximately 150 websites under management.
It all started with a commission from Bischofszell: In 2016, the city entrusted Christoph Huser with designing its new brand identity—without a business plan, based solely on a commission and the decision to accept it. Six months later, the company was entered into the commercial register. In 2020, the sole proprietorship became a limited liability company (GmbH). The agency moved to its current location on Hafenstrasse in Romanshorn and hired its first employee.
To mark its anniversary, Mediawork has revamped its website and consolidated its value proposition under the guiding principle «Culture Becomes a Brand.» The agency operates in three areas: Culture, Branding, and Impact—ranging from brand culture to brand identity to brand experience. Its service portfolio includes brand strategy, corporate design, websites, packaging, and campaigns.
The customer base is primarily from Eastern Switzerland, but extends throughout German-speaking Switzerland. The customer base includes industry, commerce, educational institutions, and the public sector.
«We modernize companies with rich histories—in a way that ensures they remain recognizable afterward,» says owner and CEO Christoph Huser. «Our core philosophy has remained the same for ten years: We first ask who a company truly is. Only then do we talk about design.»
The agency celebrated its 10th anniversary on August 27, 2026, with approximately 90 guests from the business and political communities, as well as the agency’s client base. Photos from the anniversary event are available at the following link: https://www.mediawork.ch/jubilaeum/#impressionen
