Online shopping is convenient and makes it pretty easy to find a suitable Christmas gift these days. But is it really fun to scroll through a seemingly endless offer, to virtually examine possible gifts and yet not know whether they really fit? Not to mention the subsequent hope that the order will arrive in time for the presents?
Not if the traditional Bernese department store Loeb and the Family agency have their way. In their opinion, the unique feeling of Christmas shopping is missing. Whether it's touch-and-go or Güetzis instead of cookies, the current Christmas campaign therefore takes a tongue-in-cheek look at what the digital competition can't offer shoppers in six different subjects.
The campaign, consisting of radio spots, posters, DOOH, screens and banners, can be seen from the first week of Advent in the regions of Berne, Biel and Thun - and comes entirely without general terms and conditions.

Over the past two years, the Loeb department store group has invested heavily in the modernization of its consumer temples in Bern and Biel in order to turn shopping into an experience: New experience and gastronomy zones have been created, new brands have been added to the product range, digital elements have been integrated into the POS and staff training and development has been driven forward - all in order to offer its customers "the most personal department store in Switzerland". Just in time for the launch of the Christmas season, Loeb is now going on the communications offensive to communicate this vision to the outside world.
Komet's campaign aims to increase frequency and sales on the one hand, and to appeal to a younger audience on the other. It makes playful use of the similarity between the name "Loeb" and the English word "love" to create a declaration of love, which not coincidentally recalls that of the recently deceased designer Milton Glaser to his home town: We loeb you.
Broken down to the new offers at Loeb, the campaign will be launched in October on social media and (D)OOH, with all advertising material consistently linked to the corresponding landing page. Weloebyou.ch lead.

Loeb operates three department stores and several stores in the canton of Bern. A major relaunch of the website and the e-commerce store is planned for the fall. Ads&Figures was commissioned to optimize this digital information and sales platform in the area of SEO, so that the pages rank better in Google searches.
For Zebrabox, the Swiss market leader in the field of self storage, Ads&Figures created a tracking concept with a corresponding setup, which enables all relevant key figures to be measured and evaluated in a targeted manner.
The new customer Grand Casino Baden, operator of the first Swiss online casino Jackpots.ch, engaged Ads&Figures for support on the way to a digital "House of Entertainment". First fields of action are attribution and data ownership.
With the annual report, Loeb wanted to show, among other things, the diversity of the department store from A to Z, writes the agency in a statement. This was achieved with the use of photos in the form of product stills from all departments of the department store.
