With the launch of a new «Opinions» section, lematin.ch is undergoing a editorial reorientation and will increasingly position itself as a platform for opinions, debates, and prominent figures. The goal is to highlight diverse perspectives and foster social discussions—thereby enriching the public debate.
Opinion pieces will form a key pillar of our editorial content going forward. They will cover topics in politics, society, culture, sports, lifestyle, and food. Public figures such as Johan Djourou, Roger Köppel, Baptiste Hurni, and Whitney Toyloy will now publish their viewpoints on the platform. At the same time, the journalists at lematin.ch will continue to publish their own analyses and commentaries.

Readers can now also get actively involved by sending their contributions and opinions to the editorial staff via email ([email protected]). After verifying the authors« identities and reviewing the content, selected articles will be published in the »Opinions” section. According to the announcement, this section will have its own distinct design and will be prominently featured on the publication’s homepage.
By bringing together lematin.ch readers, public figures, experts, and media professionals on an equal footing, the portal creates an open, safe, and moderated space for genuine debate.
Philippe Favre, Director of Romandie for the 20 Minuten Group, explains: «Opinions have always been part of Le Matin’s DNA. With this new section, we want to build on that tradition while adapting it to digital usage habits.»

In addition to opinion pieces, coverage of current events remains a central part of our content. News and information will continue to be published. When major events occur, the editorial team also provides ongoing coverage via live tickers and tracks developments in real time.
In addition, lematin.ch is continuing to expand its activities in the area of cultural and sports partnerships. The collaboration with event organizers and institutions is intended to enable the publication of additional content and reports related to selected events.
lematin.ch is published by the 20 Minuten Group and is part of the TX Group. The website is aimed at readers throughout French-speaking Switzerland and offers comprehensive coverage of politics, business, sports, culture, society, and entertainment.
