Jeanneret's death coincides with the 75th anniversary of Swiss Solidarity, which he had helped to make popular with numerous collections, Christian Lüscher, a longtime friend and former work colleague of Jeanneret, told the Keystone-SDA news agency. The Swiss media had therefore often referred to Jeanneret as "Mister Swiss Solidarity".
Jeanneret was born in Bern on March 18, 1947. He later studied German literature, journalism and theater studies at the university there.
He began his career at SRG as a presenter of "Children's News" on Swiss television. Later, he moved to radio, where he became best known as editor and presenter of the program "Rendez-vous". For years he headed this background program of today's SRF radio.
Jeanneret published several books and was a lecturer at the Swiss School of Journalism MAZ. He was married and lived in Bern. (SDA)

The decision was made on Friday "in consultation with the Foundation Board", Swiss Solidarity announced. Thomann's previous deputy, Catherine Baud-Lavigne, will temporarily lead the management. The position will be advertised in the coming weeks.
Thomann was only elected Director of the fundraising organization in January 2020. At the time, he succeeded Tony Burgener, who retired after eight years at the helm. Previously, Thomann was Head of Digital at Spinas Civil Voices, a communications agency specializing in campaigns and fundraising for non-governmental organizations and aid organizations.
Under Thomann's leadership, Swiss Solidarity carried out a "historic fundraising campaign" for the victims of the pandemic in Switzerland, it said. He also initiated the process of developing a new digitalization strategy.
Swiss Solidarity is an independent foundation set up by SRG and co-finances projects abroad with the donations entrusted to it by its 26 Swiss partner relief organizations. In Switzerland, it supports projects for people in need, for example after severe storms or during the pandemic. (SDA)

The 32nd Annual General Meeting of the Zurich Public Relations Society (ZPRG) was held on May 24, 2018 in the Schwarzescafé project room in the Löwenbräu art area in Zurich. All business was approved unanimously. As of the date of the general meeting, Christina Wallat and Talina Vaterlaus left the board. Priska Spörri was newly elected to the ZPRG board. She is responsible for Public and Partner Relations at the Swiss Solidarity Foundation and a member of the Executive Board. Also confirmed for the term of one year were the president Christian Wick, WickPR, his vice-president Dominik Allemann, Bernet Relations, as well as the existing board members Pascale Lehmann, lehmanncom, Marie-Françoise Ruesch, Admeira, Annette Pfizenmayer, ZHAW, and Michael Loss, Intrum Justitia, and the two long-standing auditors Sabine Bosshardt and Curd Fasching.
The established theater Miller's in the Mühle Tiefenbrunnen could be won as a new partner of the ZPRG. The popular neighborhood theater stands for word art and describes itself as a laboratory of cheerful knowledge. ZPRG members will soon be able to benefit from this cooperation.
With around 500 members, ZPRG is the largest regional society of the umbrella organization pr suisse, Swiss Public Relations Association (SPRV).
Tony Burgener is moving from the Burson Marsteller agency in Geneva to Swiss Solidarity, according to a press release issued on Friday. Burgener worked for several years in Switzerland as a journalist and then as a delegate to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Africa and the Middle East before becoming Head of Press and Head of the Private Fundraising Department at the ICRC in Geneva. He was then responsible for the Swiss National Exhibition Expo.02 as Head of Media and Public Relations and finally moved to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as Deputy Communications Director. Burgener has been a member of the Executive Board of Burson Marsteller since 2009.
