In the third edition of its Säntis Magazine, Säntis-Schwebebahn shows how corporate reporting can go beyond mere figures. With the combined format "minSäntis" for shareholders and "dinSäntis" for guests, the company is focusing on a cross-media publication with journalistic standards.

Both issues are based on the same content and design DNA, but differ in tone and scope. While "minSäntis" also presents the economic situation of the company, "dinSäntis" focuses on narrative insights into the world of experience around the Säntis. The agency Die Botschafter is responsible for the editing and conception of the magazine.

The focus of the current issue is on wood - as a material, sound body or design element. The articles are dedicated to traditional craftsmanship as well as questions of sustainability and design aesthetics. The story is told on several levels: editorially networked, visually elaborately staged and thematically deeply anchored. The aim is not only to convey information, but also to create identification.

Effect throughout the year

The magazine also fulfills strategic functions outside of the publication. It serves as a content basis for blog posts, social media formats and newsletters. It is also used as a brand carrier at trade fairs, in hotel rooms or by direct mailing.

Blueheart gestaltet Geschäftsbericht für NKB erstmals in digitaler Form https://www.markt-kom.com/en/kreativity/blueheart-gestaltet-geschaeftsbericht-fuer-nkb-erstmals-in-digitaler-form/ Thu, Apr 10, 2025 08:21:43 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=233205

The Digital form of the annual report enables a new multimedia experience: a good mix of text, images and video should bring the content to the point in a media-friendly way and with a sharpened target group focus. Tabbed browsing creates a better overview and enables target groups to find the information relevant to them more quickly.

According to Heinrich Leuthard, CEO of NKB, this innovation further strengthens the expansion of NKB's digital channels and creates real added value for its stakeholders.

In addition to hard facts such as key financial figures, annual financial statements and management report, the storytelling surrounding the financial year is also shown to its best advantage: under the motto "More of life", various highlights and the diverse commitment of NKB are presented in the form of exciting short stories. A separate sustainability report is also included for the first time.

Sergeant gestaltet den Geschäftsbericht der NZZ https://www.markt-kom.com/en/kreativity/sergeant-gestaltet-den-geschaeftsbericht-der-nzz/ Tue, 08 Apr 2025 13:39:06 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=233105

The new concept for the NZZ-The NZZ Annual Report is designed to cover several years. It is based on the NZZ's corporate values and leaves room for annually changing key topics. These are each told with concise questions and appropriate imagery. The visual line uses the extensive image database of the NZZ and is intended to create a visual counterweight to the dense figures and content.

Effective reduction

In terms of design, the report is based on a reduced layout with clear typography, lots of white space and expressive image pages. In addition to the visual concept, Sergeant was also responsible for the implementation of the infographics, accompanied the photo shoot and developed an interactive screen PDF.

Yellow dokumentiert 125 Jahre EBL https://www.markt-kom.com/en/kreativity/yellow-dokumentiert-125-jahre-ebl/ Thu, 19 Dec 2024 09:31:34 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=228458

EBL wanted to document its 125th anniversary with a book that goes far beyond a traditional company chronicle. To this end, it engaged the Basel agency Yellow. Working closely with historian Dr. Florian Blumer, the team developed a concept that sheds light on the company's history from an external perspective. However, it also takes internal aspects into account in order to show the interactions with the social, economic and cultural developments of the time. This approach is in line with Yellow's philosophy of illuminating topics and brands from the perspective of their target groups.

The book entitled "125 Joor verbunde" is divided into ten sections, each beginning with an overview of EBL's development. The individual chapters show how the energy supplier has responded to changes as an organization serving society, the economy and culture and has itself contributed to the modernization of the Oberbasel region.

In addition to the content concept, Yellow was also responsible for the design and typesetting of the book, which was included in the program of Verlag Baselland - the official publishing house of the canton of Basel-Landschaft.

Sika gewinnt das Schweizer Geschäftsberichte-Rating 2024 https://www.markt-kom.com/en/markom/awards/sika-gewinnt-das-schweizer-geschaeftsberichte-rating-2024/ Fri, 27 Sep 2024 07:04:37 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=224021

The Swiss Annual Report Rating includes the annual reports of all listed companies represented in the SPI. The list is supplemented with the companies from the 50 companies with the highest turnover, the 15 insurance companies with the highest premium volume and the 25 banks with the highest balance sheet total. 235 companies were evaluated in 2024.

On Thursday evening, the winners received their certificates from jury president Hans-Peter Nehmer at the SIX Convention Point in Zurich. The Swiss Annual Report Rating is organized annually by the HarbourClub - Chief Communications Officers. Around 160 participants attended the event.

With this year's annual report rating, the process will undergo an adjustment: the previous three juries will become two. The final jury, which previously assessed the twelve best reports, has been removed. This will give the Value Reporting and Design juries more weight in the nomination and award process. The Value Reporting jury of the Institute for Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich is headed by Prof. Dr. Alexander F. Wagner, while the Design jury is under the patronage of the ZHDK and headed by Jiri Chmelik Noir Associates. The overall winners are determined by adding the ratings of these two juries.

Another change concerns the "Rising Star of the Year" award. It will be replaced by the "Special Mention" award in the Design and Value Reporting categories. The new award recognizes innovative reports that set outstanding and creative accents. "We share an ambition with the evaluated companies in the annual report rating to not only remain good, but to keep getting better," says jury president Hans-Peter Nehmer.

Basilea Pharmaceutica presents its latest annual report, which not only highlights technical successes, but also revolutionizes the visual presentation of scientific processes. The Modulator agency in Basel created a specific visual language that uses still lifes to illustrate abstract themes such as drug development and licensing.

Through the artistic integration of symbolic images and portraits of employees on a striking red Panton chair, Basilea's work is presented in a lively and accessible way. The annual report thus offers a comprehensive insight into the company's achievements and sets new standards in the presentation of complex content.

The world of work is changing rapidly and with it the way in which companies remain marketable. At the same time, the "work performance" of service providers and employees is increasingly being measured and evaluated using clear KPIs.

Grown as a community of values and anchored in a cooperative, PK Rück faces up to all these challenges. Because values are absolutely central to PK Rück as an organization - they unite employees, provide a common direction and drive us forward every day.

At digital annual report 2023 experts such as neuroscientist and psychologist Lutz Jäncke, philosopher and physicist Norman Sieroka, Céline Antonini, Head of Health Policy at CSS, PK Rück CEO Regina Knöpfel - as well as ChatGPT - provide answers to some key questions.

Schweizerische Post gewinnt Schweizer Geschäftsberichte-Rating 2023 https://www.markt-kom.com/en/markom/schweizerische-post-gewinnt-schweizer-geschaeftsberichte-rating-2023/ Thu, 28 Sep 2023 20:35:50 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=203790

(Image: zVg.)

The award winners were able to receive their certificates from jury president Hans-Peter Nehmer on Thursday evening in Zurich. The Swiss Annual Report Rating is held annually by the HarbourClub - Chief Communications Officers. Around 170 people took part in the event.

The rating includes the annual reports of all listed companies represented in the SPI. The list is supplemented with the companies of the 50 companies with the highest sales, the 15 insurance companies with the highest premium volume and the 25 banks with the highest balance sheet total and comprises 236 companies in 2023.

This sample was evaluated successively by three juries. First, by the Value Reporting jury of the Institute for Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich, headed by Alexander F. Wagner; second, by a Design jury under the patronage of the ZHDK and headed by Jiri Chmelik Noir Associates. Then, a final jury headed by Hans-Peter Nehmer, President of HarbourClub and Head of Corporate Communications at Allianz Suisse, judged the twelve best annual reports - print and online - selected by the preliminary juries.

"When preparing the annual report, the best in the ranking always have the 'big picture' in mind. Documentation is the duty, emotion the free skate. If both are skilfully combined, there is a lot to be gained. With the target groups as well as in the annual report ranking," explains jury president Hans-Peter Nehmer. "Swiss Post has managed to do just that with flying colors, making it the overall winner. The 14 members of the final jury saw the common thread, the storyline 'We are developing tomorrow's public service today' excellently implemented - in the big picture and in the details. In the language category, they even awarded Swiss Post's annual report the special text prize. The convincing sustainability reporting also received top marks."

In addition to the knowledge partners University of Zurich, the Zurich University of the Arts and the IAM MediaLab of the ZHAW, the Center for Corporate Reporting is now an official knowledge partner of the Swiss Annual Report Rating and thus increases the expert knowledge about the reporting of Swiss companies.

An advisory board has also been created. Its main task is to ensure the quality, topicality and further development of the rating. In the sense of a sounding board, the advisory board reflects the external impact that the HarbourClub as organizer and the expert juries as assessment bodies trigger and makes corresponding recommendations. Its constituent members are Dr. Andreas Jäggi, Communications Consultant, Leandro Künzli, Valuation and Modeling Expert and Jürg Trösch, Publishing Expert Reporting.

Heads: 2. Nachhaltigkeitsbericht für die Amag-Gruppe https://www.markt-kom.com/en/markom/heads-2-nachhaltigkeitsbericht-fuer-die-amag-gruppe/ Fri, June 23, 2023 08:09:46 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=199637 After the Amag Group disclosed company data in a report for the first time last year (advertisingweek.ch reported)the sustainability report is now being reissued. In its second sustainability report, the company wants to send a clear signal of its commitment to sustainable mobility.

Heads Corporate Branding took over the planning of the report, developed the content and design concept and implemented it together with the sustainability specialists of the Amag Group. In addition to the printed edition, Heads designed a dedicated landing page and interactive microsite to make the report digitally accessible.

Environment, employees, customers

The reporting concept "we are moving forward" not only offers management and employees a platform for transparent insights into the Group's sustainability practices, but also aims to show in concrete terms how the company is committed to the environment, employees, customers, and society in the three dimensions of sustainability. Background reports clarify the goals, the milestones achieved, and the investments made in sustainable mobility solutions.

The visually differentiated presentation of the sustainability facts as well as the key figures according to the GRI standard takes into account the different reading needs of the stakeholder groups. The report is published in four languages and integrates the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In line with the principle "Sustainable production planning begins with creation," Heads has carefully developed the print edition in terms of format, design, printing technology and finishing to ensure responsible use of resources.

In addition to the printed edition, Heads has digitized the sustainability report, opening up new opportunities for transparent communication and diverse report content. The newly developed "Knowledge Moves" concept presents a video format that incorporates external expert perspectives and creates a network to highlight progress and initiatives from different angles.
