The motion called for public land, including bus and streetcar stops, to be freed from commercial advertising. "The progressive commercialization of urban space has undeniable negative effects on the well-being of the population," Christa Ammann of the Alternative List said Thursday. She also sees small local businesses at a disadvantage. These could hardly afford the advertising space, and the space could only be financed by multinational corporations and large companies, Ammann criticized. She pointed to cities such as Grenoble, Sao Paulo and Brussels, where restrictive advertising regulations have created "creative design space."

Ammann received majority support in the city parliament from left-wing parties. "Why not look at graffiti instead of H&M ads or study a cultural agenda instead of a car?" said Seraina Patzen of the Junge Alternative.

For the majority in parliament, however, the cost argument seemed to prevail. Advertising accounts for only 0.32 percent of the city's annual revenue, Ammann said. But that's 3.4 million francs and therefore no small matter, argued the city council, on the other hand. "In a free liberal society, everyone is free to pay attention to advertising or not," said FDP city councilor Christophe Weder. For Erich Hess of the SVP, advertising is even "part of a well-functioning economy".

According to the municipal council, the advertising space in the city of Bern is proportionate compared to other cities. "We have not put up any additional posters for numerous years," said municipal councilor Ursula Wyss. Ultimately, the advertising issue is a matter of attitude. The municipal council must find a compromise between all wishes, said Wyss. (SDA)

Every year, more and more brands want to conquer the culinary playing field around the barbecue. Bell thinks it's time for the leader to show who's boss in this terrain. Time for great barbecue cinema.

The centerpiece of the campaign, which will run from May 22, is the film "The Barbecue for Doers," which will be used on TV and online in various cut lengths. Reinforced by activating appetizers in print and other measures, from branded entertainment to the series of popular Bell BBQ Masters, which focus on the brand's quality leadership.

Neues Kompetenzzentrum für Sport-Kommunikation in Bern https://www.markt-kom.com/en/markom/business/neues-kompetenzzentrum-fur-sport-kommunikation-in-bern/ Wed, May 10, 2017 3:08:04 PM +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=87136 btw

By the Way and FairMatch thus enter into a partnership, bundle their know-how and network and form a new competence center for sports communication and marketing under one roof. Both agencies have been anchored in the sports business for years through various projects and mandates, primarily in Switzerland, but also internationally in some cases.

By the Way Communications can draw on a wealth of experience. Founded 20 years ago, the full-service agency has mature competencies and experience in the classic online and offline communication disciplines with a focus on public relations. From its passion for communication, enthusiasm for digital and flair for creativity, By the Way Communications develops consulting services in the strategic business areas of digital publishing (production of digital, interactive, multimedia media formats - for example, the first digital fan magazine for Cristiano Ronaldo and transformation of print media into digital media), social media (community building and community management) and individual marketing for internationally renowned Swiss professional athletes such as Diego Benaglio and Roman Josi. Since January, the agency has also had its own e-sports unit, making it a national pioneer in a segment characterized by enormous growth rates worldwide. By the Way Communications' long-standing activities and clients also include various engagements in golf, the Swiss Football Association, and the national program for more exercise among the population "Coop Gemeinde Duell von Schweiz.bewegt".

Richard Hurni, co-owner and managing director of By the Way Communications: "The FairMatch team has complementary know-how to our portfolio namely in the marketing and sponsorship area. Together, our companies can offer 360-degree consulting on communications and marketing, especially for clients in the sports world."

Simon Laager, founder and CEO of FairMatch, adds: "We are looking forward to these synergies and are convinced that we will be able to offer exciting added value to our existing customers and, in cooperation with the By the Way team, to new customers as well."

FairMatch implements interactive sports and leisure special shows with a team of four on the one hand for the public exhibitions of Bernexpo (BEA) and MCH Group (e.g. Muba Basel) in cooperation with sports associations and sponsors. The award-winning projects "Swisscom Giga-Welle" as a Swiss surfing premiere or "Mobiliar Indoor Sports", in which a mobile gymnasium was realized together with the four indoor sports associations at BEA, or the Schwing Arena with Emmentaler Switzerland and the Swiss Wrestling Federation are some examples of integrated live com measures that were realized as full-service solutions from the idea and concept to marketing, communication, media relations and implementation. The Events unit, on the other hand, is limited to marketing, communication and media work, for example for the 2016 European Beach Volleyball Championships or the new major Bernese cycling event "Hallo Velo", while the traditional Uhrencup football tournament in Grenchen and Biel is implemented via ST Competition & Consulting GmbH as an in-house production. In the Sports Associations unit, FairMatch is responsible for marketing and sponsoring for the national sports associations Swiss Curling and Swiss Orienteering, and also for communications and media relations for the latter.

The Bernese agency Republica has realized an extraordinary video on behalf of SC Bern to celebrate the renewed championship title. For the first time, the triumph story is told from the perspective of the cup. For the realization of the novel idea, two action cameras (FDR-X3000R) were attached to the object of desire in cooperation with partner Sony, accompanying the trophy on its journey. The result is unique insights into the world and rituals of a freshly crowned champion team - from the dressing room to the triumphal procession through a capital full of fans.

The Black Puzzle. Puzzling is celebrated here in its purest form - only the assembly of the pieces counts, because all 500 pieces are exactly the same black. Even Darth Vader, Batman or Johnny Cash would pass the time with this.

The puzzle fun of the somewhat different kind is an idea Gestalt communication. The Bernese advertising agency distributes the game exclusively via Theblackpuzzle.com.

The Bernese State Calendar, which was once called the Regiment Book, has also been digitized. Not only can people be found in the State Calendar, it also depicts the structure of the cantonal administration, parliament and judicial authorities. The publication was first issued in 1708. Also digitized was the Berner Woche, launched in 1911 by Bernese publisher Jules Weder, as the University Library of Bern announced on Tuesday.

While text initially dominated, photos became increasingly important from the 1930s onward. Until the advent of television, photo magazines were popular media. They reported on events from the wider world, but also on local news. The satirical monthly magazine Der Bärenspiegel was founded in 1923 by the painter Hans Eggimann together with colleagues. The politically independent magazine contained caricatures and satirical texts on local, national and international current events. Issue 1 from 1937, for example, contains caricatures of the four editors-in-chief at a time when there were still four daily newspapers in Bern. (SDA)

Tsch Tsch 2017: Der Sommer wird am Grill gemacht https://www.markt-kom.com/en/kreativity/kampagnen/tsch-tsch-2017-der-sommer-wird-am-grill-gemacht/ Tue, 25 Apr 2017 23:33:34 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=86522 grill-34

The barbecue is our most beautiful playground: we rub cloves of garlic over pores, brush on marinade, and sprinkle coarse salt before reverently placing the precious piece of meat on the grill and never taking our eyes off it until it is cooked to perfection. Reason enough for Coop and Contexta to bring grilling back into focus.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=/8vcvD99054Y

The resulting campaign is a single invitation to get back to the grill. With messages like "At the stove you make food. At the grill, legends.", with grill inspirations online and at the POS, and with live events in front of Coop stores, Switzerland will once again be inspired to grill this year.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=/9Ot4E97ZDpA

Coop butchers also play a central role in the campaign. As experts, they not only stand for Coop's meat expertise, but also directly invite customers to visit the Coop butcher's shop with five counter promotions. "Our butchers make a big difference," says Sacha Zuberbühler, Head of Marketing Communications at Coop. "When it comes to grilling know-how, they are the best advisors."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=/lZpGQONlwuo

Like last year, Contexta develops and programs the Coop Grill Hub, a popular grill platform with almost half a million visitors. New this year is the linking of recipes with Coop@home, so that with just a few clicks the desired ingredients are delivered right to your home. SEA as well as linking with online content and social media activities, also penned by Contexta, ensure the desired traffic throughout the grilling season.

Maxomedia steigert mit Youtube-Challenges Neuregistrationen für Gleis7 https://www.markt-kom.com/en/kreativity/kampagnen/maxomedia-steigert-mit-youtube-challenges-neuregistrationen-fur-gleis7/ Tue, 25 Apr 2017 17:33:07 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=86511 Sponsored Post Tilllate

Their names are Maanuli, Zinus and Cubanito. Together, they have around 422,000 subscribers on the video portal - mainly young people. They therefore offer ideal access to the target group of Gleis7.ch, the SBB youth platform for 13 to 25-year-olds. In Maxomedia's latest campaign, the Youtubers mobilize their fans and draw attention to the platform, which now also offers the "Adventure Battle" in addition to ideas for travel and leisure.

Youtube fans open Gleis 7 account

In the "Adventure Battle", three Youtubers each produce a video on a specific topic and compete against each other. They call on their audience to vote for them and thus increase traffic on Track7.ch. To vote for their favorite, fans must log in with their Track 7 account - or open one if they don't already have one.

High range

The twelve Youtubers face changing challenges in four encounters. From gamers to fashionistas and sportspeople, a broad mix of genres was chosen to ensure the greatest possible reach. The experience compass provides suitable leisure ideas for each challenge. The challenges are presented by the gleis7 crew: since last summer, four young athletes from trend sports have been at the helm of the platform.

Users can win attractive prizes for each challenge - including tickets for an event at the end of the year. In this final, the four winners of the challenges will once again compete live against each other. The involvement of the fans ensures that there is plenty of material on social media. Follow-up reports round off the campaign.

Website visitors doubled

The themes of the individual challenges fit in with SBB's overall communication and are aligned with the seasonal focal points. Media support is provided by Tilllate.com and Friday. Paid posts (publicity reports) and advertisements on the youth news portal and in the lifestyle magazine help to increase awareness of the YouTube challenges. With success: in the first few weeks after the launch, Gleis7.ch recorded twice as many users as usual. The number of new registrations even jumped by a factor of 2.5.

Republica gestaltet auch dieses Jahr eine tierische Kampagne für die Bea https://www.markt-kom.com/en/kreativity/kampagnen/republica-gestaltet-auch-dieses-jahr-eine-tierische-kampagne-fur-die-bea/ Thu, 20 Apr 2017 02:25:24 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=86349 BEA_Header_1920x1080_3

Bea, which will take place from April 28 to May 7, 2017, is the largest social event in Switzerland and attracts around 300,000 visitors from all over the country every year. The Republica agency was commissioned by Bernexpo Groupe to revamp the image of Bea for its 66th edition.

The aim was to present the girl Bea and the cow Lea in a new way and thus appeal to a younger audience in addition to the loyal visitors. The two testimonials have already been acting as Bea faces for three years and are well known in the Bern area. The campaign - reinterpreted every year - once again underlines the longevity of the basic idea.

In addition to Bea and Lea, the new campaign focuses primarily on the event itself. The two protagonists dine in a Bea chalet, go shopping at the Bea or compete in the Emmental wrestling arena, which is one of the attractions at the Bea. "Tierisch viel Food," "Tierisch viel Auswahl" and "Tierisch viel Action" are the corresponding headlines of the subjects. Republica thus conveys that there are many things to discover at Bea - from traditional offerings to the latest trends. The campaign included posters, railboards, inserts, online banners, advertisements, articles in magazines and on social media channels, and radio spots.

Responsible at Bernexpo Groupe: Rolf Krähenbühl (Division Manager), Daniel Beyeler (Exhibition Manager) and Thomas Grünig (Exhibition Manager).
