The 55-year-old Petersen has been working for the Swiss car magazine for around 20 years, with a brief interruption. Together with Michael Lux, who has been an editor at Auto-illustrierte for four years, Petersen forms the core editorial team and reports directly to publishing house owner and author Mathias R. Albert. A large number of freelance journalists and photographers will supplement the editorial team, according to the press release. "I am looking forward to the new challenge and would like to thank my predecessor Andreas Faust for his work," says Petersen. "During his time as editor-in-chief of Auto-Illustrierte, he provided important impetus and put the magazine on a new footing with an appropriate and fresh layout. This must be continued and expanded in the future."
The advertising department will also start under new management on September 1: Patrick Frey will be the new Head of Sales and can look back on more than 20 years of experience. He previously held similar positions at various companies in Switzerland. Born in Switzerland, Frey wants to provide new impetus with cross-media offers and innovative marketing ideas. "The current media data is already being sent out this week," says Frey. "The website Car-illustrated.ch is already online today under the new CI." The next printed edition will be published on 25.09.2015.
]]>In addition to numerous activities, entrepreneur and publishing director Mathias R. Albert has also been active as a publisher for many years and is responsible for the publication of the Swiss edition of Tuning and the VW Speed magazine. "Our intention is to lead Auto-Illustrierte into a successful future as a traditional trade magazine," Mathias R. Albert explains in a press release. "We will be able to take on numerous employees and continue the relaunch. In addition, we are strengthening the national topics and will also take a stronger look into the future."
The next issue will be published on September 25 with a large IAA special. "This will be one of the strongest issues of the year. I am sure that both readers and the industry will appreciate the love and commitment with which we are continuing the traditional Auto-Illustrierte title," continued Albert. Reto Feurer, Managing Director of Motor-Presse Schweiz: "We are delighted that we have found a buyer after all who wants to offer auto-illustrierte employees career prospects." According to the current Wemf, Auto-Illustrierte reaches over 132,000 readers and is published twelve times a year.
