Under the moderation of young musical talent Cachita, the newly graduated students were honored for their outstanding achievements. Special recognition was given to the best of the year in the various parts of the examination and the overall examination.
The musical accompaniment was provided by Swiss Music Award winner Andryy, who added an emotional touch with his extraordinary voice.

A total of 301 marketing specialists and 214 sales specialists passed the federal examination to become a marketing or sales specialist. The failure rate for both specializations was around 30 percent.

Coop introduces an apprentice sales office in Switzerland, testing a new talent development measure. Eight apprentices will manage the Coop supermarket in Deisswil with immediate effect. During their third and final year of basic training, they will assume full responsibility for supermarket operations such as advising customers, stocking shelves, planning staff schedules and other administrative tasks. They are supported by two coaches who also completed their vocational training at Coop.
The independent management of a sales outlet is intended to offer apprentices the opportunity to deepen their acquired knowledge with a great deal of responsibility and strong practical relevance. Coop is thus placing even greater emphasis on self-organized learning and action skills. For the past three years, Coop has also been relying on a training program that is divided into a one-year basic apprenticeship year and a one or two-year in-depth phase. For example, all apprentices in the food retail sector start their first year of basic training in a basic sales outlet, where they get to know the actual work processes on site.

The proceeds from each pack are donated to the training fund of the Swiss Brewers Association, which supports young brewers in Switzerland. Feldschlösschen and Coop are running the "Lernendenbier" project for the fifth time this year.
Locate your own beer on the shelf
They can hardly wait to find their own beer in a Coop supermarket: Kilian from the 3rd year of apprenticeship as well as Franco and Cédric from the 2nd year of apprenticeship as brewers at Feldschlösschen were already allowed to come up with a new beer idea half a year ago. From the determination of the beer style, to the selection of the raw materials, to the first test brews, they were responsible for the new Feldschlösschen Kellerbier. From now on, this work can be found in the 6-pack for a short time in larger Coop supermarkets.
A Kellerbier is an unfiltered, naturally cloudy beer that used to be bottled directly through the Zwickel (sampling tap from the storage tank). For this reason, Kellerbiers are also known as Zwickel beers. Feldschlösschen Kellerbier is slightly cloudy and hoppy. For the cold hopping, the budding brewers chose the Swiss aroma hops Mandarina Bavaria and Cascade. These give the beer a fruity note of citrus and tangerine, which combine well with the beer's malty body. Feldschlösschen Kellerbier is ideal as an accompaniment to asparagus with Hollandaise sauce, boiled potatoes or ham. Feldschlösschen Kellerbier is already the 5th edition of the "apprentice beer" project, which aims to ensure the next generation of brewers in Switzerland.

In 2019, Feldschlösschen's apprentice brewers at the time brewed the Kristallweizen. Since then, the sales proceeds have been donated by Coop and Feldschlösschen to the training fund of the Swiss Brewers Association (SBV). The donation was used to set up a modern brewing workshop from which apprentices from all Swiss breweries can benefit each year. The SBC is committed to making the training of food technologists with a focus on beer better known and more attractive.

Ursin Cadisch will be the new Head of Digital Media Studies at MAZ - The Swiss School of Journalism. He will take up the post in February 2023, succeeding Frank Hänecke, who will retire after more than 20 years at the MAZ.
"Accompanying aspiring journalists on their career path and reflecting with trained experts on the role of journalism in the future is one of the most exciting areas of development in the area of tension between quality journalism and profitability. This is precisely where innovations of any kind can take work away from journalists, not take it away. All this with the aim of guaranteeing the quality of independent journalism for a functioning democracy," says Ursin Cadisch.
"Ursin Cadisch is no stranger to the MAZ: He completed both the diploma training and the master's degree in "New Media Journalism" at our school. With his work as a trainer, he meets the requirements in an ideal way," MAZ Director Martina Fehr is pleased to say.
The 53-year-old has been working for Radiotelevisiun Svizra Rumantscha (RTR) for over 25 years - among other things, he has managed newsroom projects, built up and shared responsibility for the social media area, and at times been responsible for the content of RTR's online offering. Ursin Cadisch is also a lecturer - both in-house and at the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden. He has also been a member of the first chamber of the Swiss Press Council since 2018.

Burkhalter Group's own apprenticeship campaign was a lighthouse project in view of the joint future due to the merger with Poenina that had taken place earlier. Interested young people can now learn almost 20 apprenticeships at more than 150 locations in the field of building technology. In order to be able to continue training over 900 apprentices, HI developed NEXT, Burkhalter's own corporate brand, which is activated in cross-media campaign loops. Once the strategic direction was defined, the first drafts and presentations were created based on this. Logos, colors and icons in a neon look represent "NEXT".
Yves Herger, brand developer, says: "The uniqueness of this project is that we did not realize a usual campaign, but a brand within the Burkhalter Group. NEXT stands for a part of the attitude."
In addition to the visual appearance, HI took on a large part of the linguistic design. When developing slogans, lead texts and writing other textual elements, attention was always paid to using language that is appropriate for the industry, but also youthful and fresh. In addition to the digital measures, the first brochures and posters are currently being produced.
The apprenticeship campaign website went live on August 8. Smaller elements such as photos or video contributions are added on an ongoing basis to bring the appearance to life. The NEXT apprentice campaign is another stage in the successful collaboration with Burkhalter Group, which has existed since 2007, one year before the IPO.
Responsible at HI Switzerland: Yves Herger (Brand Developer), Ines Senger (Project Manager), Daniel Klauser (Creative Director), Vanessa Peng (Graphic Designer), Vivienne Lips (Graphic Designer), Fabian Häfliger (Web Developer), Leana Santschi (Communication), Livio Lombardo (Communication)

The vocational training campaign Vocational EducationPlus.ch of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation SERI is getting a new look. In addition to the revamped campaign website, numerous social media measures, and the motif generator, which young people, parents, and training companies can use to contribute to the campaign, the message "On the career path to the goal" will be disseminated via a commercial on TV, in cinemas, and online. In it, Ali Oskan tells the true story of his daughter Elif Oskan, who - despite initial reservations on the part of her father - decided to become an apprentice cook. Today, she successfully runs her own restaurant - Gül Restoran in Zurich.
The campaign raises parents' awareness of the strengths of vocational education and training and shows that young people who complete a basic vocational education and training program have the best prospects for a successful career.
The focus on the role of parents in the career choice process is no coincidence. The concept builds on the research findings of educationalist Margrit Stamm. "Parents often tell their offspring what they should do. In such cases, children then have inhibitions about discovering, expressing and pursuing their own interests," explains campaign testimonial Margrit Stamm in the BerufsbildungPlus.ch blog.
CRK, Hutter Consult and The House - the three Swiss agencies of the Myty Group - teamed up for the campaign. As the winner of the pitch for the overall media mandate, The House, together with the social media experts from Hutter Consult, designed and implemented the campaign in the paid area. CRK was the strategic, creative and communicative project lead. The French-speaking Swiss agency Trio, which was responsible for the conceptual and content-related adaptation of the campaign in French-speaking Switzerland, was also involved from the very beginning.

New faces in the newsroom: Sunday evening sees the start of the third Blick media camp with thirteen young people aged 16 to 22. The young talents are guests of the Blick Group for a week. They will be trained in the various disciplines of journalism, researching stories, writing articles and shooting videos.
Two participants per department get a direct insight into the media world, learn from professionals in daily courses and are in constant exchange with the journalists of the View-editorship. The program is supplemented by joint evening events such as a tour of the print shop, a visit to the open race course in Oerlikon, a recording of a talk show and an evening at the movies.
"The Mediacamp functions like a talent factory for the School of Journalism," explains Peter Hossli, who is the new head of the Ringier School of Journalism organized the media camp for the first time. "We discover talents who would like to come to journalism school later or who can develop on the Blick editorial staff." Hossli is pleased with the great interest in the Mediacamp: "We had many good applications, which shows me that journalism continues to exude great appeal for young people."
"The past two media camps have shown us that the young colleagues, with their commitment, curiosity and fresh ideas, are a real enrichment for the Blick Group and that not only they can learn a lot from us, but also we can learn a lot from them," adds Christian Dorer, Editor-in-Chief Blick Group.
]]>"Outdoor Management, Sustainability & DigitalTourism to go", "Mobility & Quality Management" or "Intrapreneurship & Business Development" - these are the multi-layered modules of the NDS HF Tourism Management at the IST in Zurich. The eight modules, which are spread over two semesters, are now also explicitly offered individually.
"This flexibility is not only required today, it also makes sense for anyone who only wants to become fit in certain areas - for example, in megatrend topics such as sustainability, mobility or digitalization," explains Nicole Diermeier, initiator and head of the NDS program. "The shortage of skilled workers in tourism is one of the greatest challenges of our time, and employee development and the promotion of young talent should be at the center of company management more than ever."
In entertaining videos, the students themselves now promote the NDS and talk about their motivation and what they have already been able to take away in terms of knowledge and experience.
The professional backgrounds and motivations of the current students are varied. The head of a ski school from Zermatt is among them, as is a caterer and manager of an organic farming business, a ski & bike guide who is planning a promotion to middle management or self-employment, and a Swiss tourism expert who most recently managed a large tour operator with 500 employees in Central America.

Two months after Kuble launched the Metaverse Academy, it is evident that the first two courses "Relationship Economy & Metaverse" and "Web3 & Metaverse Strategist" perfectly address the great demand for knowledge and exchange around virtual, experiential and interactive parallel worlds. A virtual educational institution developed with an immersive campus-like community to promote knowledge about the Metaverse, Web3 and NFTs.
Metaverse Academy is led by world-class, multi-disciplinary faculty members, with a strong alumni network, as we have seen from leading universities in the real world.
From now on, Kuble will be accompanied on this path by Dr. Martha Boeckenfeld, who will newly serve as partner and dean of Metaverse Academy. In this role, she will preside over the curriculum and faculty for the digital academic campus, as well as teach herself. She has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry and was most recently responsible for Digital Platforms & Ecosystems at UBS. She is a thought leader who is passionate about technology, blockchain, and the metaverse, and firmly believes that the key factors in dynamically driving digital transformation are the mindset of digital leaders and the innovation to develop and implement forward-thinking concepts.
"With the Metaverse Academy, we are lowering the barrier of entry to the 'Metaverse experience' by integrating both technical and strategic perspectives that give companies and their employees insight into what the Metaverse can do for their industry," said Dr. Martha Boeckenfeld.
An Academy for the Metaverse, about the Metaverse, in the Metaverse.
Dr. Martha Boeckenfeld on the starting point of her engagement: "While there has been a real hype around the term 'metaverse', most people cannot explain what the metaverse is and what business opportunities exist for their companies or themselves as individuals in the age of Web3. However, the need for metaverse experts is growing explosively. The reality is that there are not enough experienced Metaverse experts to fill these new roles. The concept of the Metaverse Academy is unique globally and the Kuble team has already laid a great foundation as pioneers. I'm very excited to work with them and faculty members to build a 'Metaverse education for everyone, everywhere'."
Gustavo Salami, who as founder and partner at Kuble conceived the Metaverse Academy, is also already looking ahead: "Martha is the ideal professional and human candidate for the role of Dean. She also shares our vision and that is why I am convinced that we can successfully expand and scale the Metaverse Academy together with her. In the near future, we will launch an offering with workshops and 1:1 sessions for C-level executives."
Martha Boeckenfeld (Thought Leader, Advisor) has extensive experience with platform economics, dynamic ecosystems, digital business, digital transformation and customer experience. As a thought leader with a passion for technology, blockchain and the metaverse, she strongly believes that the key factors for a dynamic digital transformation are the mindset of digital leaders and the power of innovation to develop and implement forward-looking concepts. She has spent more than 20 years working internationally, as a financial services executive and non-executive in institutions such as UBS, Unicredit, Generali, Kleinwort Benson and Axa.
Martha Boeckenfeld has several consulting engagements, including GenTwo/AssetRush. She is also an ambassador for AllStarsWomen NFT Club and DAO, a women's network in the Metaverse for female founders, entrepreneurs and investors. Likewise, she is involved with Beyond Gender Agenda, which aims to improve the long-term international competitiveness of German business by integrating Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) into the DNA of listed and mid-sized companies.

For 64 percent of the total of 111 candidates from the German and French-speaking parts of Switzerland, the federal advertising examination, which is conducted by KS/CS Kommunikation, was successful this year. This means that the communications market once again has new, certified professionals in communications, media and realization/production.
With a success rate of 64 percent, this year can be considered a good year. Communication specialists are characterized by in-depth knowledge and skills in the three main subjects of communication, media (online and offline) and realization/production. No other education offers this broad mix of skills for entry-level marketing, advertising and communications professionals. Also, the clear selection between passing and failing have given this federal exam a reliable value for many years. That is why advertising companies, agencies and media providers value the practical skills of a federal communications specialist.
This year, for example, the candidates had to describe a positioning for a new product of Chocolats Camille Bloch SA in the written part, propose a media strategy for a new vegetarian burger chain or manage the spot production for an over-the-counter nasal spray in various digital channels. Likewise, the candidates had to demonstrate their learned competencies during the oral exams.
The best exam result this year was achieved by Vanja Dujakovic with an excellent final grade of 5.5. She is followed in second and third place by Janine Koller with a grade of 5.2 and Nicolas Preisig with a grade of 5.1. After two years without handing over the certificates in person, this year the diploma ceremony will again be held physically on July 7.
The names of all successful graduates and more about continuing education in communication can be found on the website of KS/CS.
