Nuz began with an ideas competition to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the architecture and engineering firm Fanzun. The most important condition: It could not be a typical anniversary campaign. "The podcast format created by Festland immediately won over our jury," says CEO Andrea Fanzun. "Especially the idea of focusing not on buildings, but on people."
When architecture appears in the media, the focus is usually on images of sites and buildings. With the Nuz podcast Fanzun sets a counterpoint. The spotlight is on the spoken word and people who shape spaces - as commissioners, designers or users.
Nevertheless, buildings play more than a minor role. The mobile Nuz studio, which is formally based on the Fanzun logo, is located in a room that reflects the story of the respective episode. Architectural video impressions complement the dialog scenes. The creative team was spoiled for choice when selecting the guests and locations: every project in which Fanzun is involved contains at least one podcast story worth listening to.

The concept is intended to appeal not only to experts, but also to a wider audience interested in people and their spaces. Podcaster Martina Allemann has been brought in to get to the bottom of these people's stories.
The first Nuz guest is Roger Boltshauser. The architect and ETH lecturer will give an insight into his work, in which architecture and art alternate freely. One of the spaces he planned together with Fanzun is the Altwiesen garden city, which is currently under construction in Schwamendingen.

In the second episode, Jeremy Jenal, architect and wheelchair rugby player, explains how a skiing accident at the Porta Samedan shopping center changed his view of spaces. Episode three is dedicated to the synergy of architecture and team spirit, using the example of the newly expanded headquarters of Integra Biosciences in Zizers. The interview guest is Azra Wiesner, Head of Global HR at the company.
The pilot season of Nuz comprises three episodes. They can be seen and heard on the Fanzun website as well as the popular podcast apps. Festland is responsible for the idea, concept and overall management. The audio/video production is carried out by Vitronic, the web integration by ACC.

The extraordinary character of a building is always shaped by the personality of the people behind it. Whether it is the client, the architect, the planner, the designer, the stonemason, the authorities and many others.
This thought led to the idea of developing an information platform for eight construction projects around the most important buildings in the city of Zurich. A platform that not only informs about figures, visions and current construction phases. But concretely about the people who bring these extraordinary icons, which shape the cityscape, back to life. With expertise, commitment and sometimes with skills of ancient craftsmanship.
Zhtreat.ch provides Zurich's residents with background information on all aspects of structural change in the city of Zurich that otherwise remain hidden behind construction barriers. For the renowned architectural firm SPPA Architekten, historical events are researched, building visions visualized and current construction stages documented. Above all, however, the people who implement and drive these building projects are portrayed in their work.
For this purpose, video portraits are created that provide insights into the respective projects, visions and activities. This is intended to give the often listed building projects a completely new and very personal face.
Overall responsibility: Beat Graf (SPPA Architects). Video Portraits: Beat Hürlimann (Huerlimann Creative Communications). Concept and idea: Ralph Halder (Halder Record).
