WIR & WYER Rebranding: From Digital Agency to Strategy Consulting Firm

UXD.Studio, the branding and digital agency founded in 2019, is becoming WIR & WYER. With this WIR & WYER rebranding, founder Chris Wyer is expanding the agency’s existing focus on experience design and branding to include the fields of strategy, business, and artificial intelligence. The focus is on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), family-owned businesses, and “hidden champions” that recognize new opportunities for their businesses and want to develop them in a targeted manner. The new brand identity and service offerings are now available at wir-wyer.com available.

Behind the new name lies a working model: «WIR» stands for collaboration with clients, their teams, and the people for whom products, services, and brands are created. «WYER» is the founder’s name—and stands for personal responsibility. Those who provide consulting are also involved in the implementation process. WIR & WYER deliberately works with a small senior core team that engages directly with decision-makers. Depending on the issue at hand, specialists from strategy, business development, AI, experience design, and technology are brought in. This approach is designed to enable short lines of communication, quick decisions, and teams tailored to the specific task at hand.

Reach alone does not create relevance

Behind this repositioning lies a mindset that has shaped the team’s approach to branding and digital work over the years: Reach alone does not create relevance. Things get exciting when companies understand what truly motivates customers, which trends open up new opportunities, and what actually drives impact in terms of positioning and business. According to the company, this is exactly where WIR & WYER comes in: at the intersection of business, brand, customer experience, and technology. Insights should form the basis for sound decision-making—leading to strategies and product and experience concepts with a clear direction and concrete potential for impact.

«There are usually plenty of good ideas. What matters is making informed decisions based on the available options—and developing solutions from them that are relevant to clients and have a real impact on their business. This is exactly the approach we take with our clients—small enough to work directly with the decision-makers, and experienced enough to take responsibility for the results,» says Chris Wyer, founder and Strategy Director.

AI Requires Judgment—WIR & WYER Embraces a «Human First» Approach»

Artificial intelligence is an integral part of the company’s offerings, guided by a clear philosophy: “Human first.” Strategic judgment, design, and customer relationships remain the domain of humans. AI is used where it enhances capabilities or measurably increases work efficiency—for example, in research and analysis, prototyping, content creation, and software development. According to the press release, this approach is grounded in the expertise in strategy, brand, and experience design that the company has built up over the years.

«If you want to use AI effectively, you have to master the craft behind it and understand which problem you’re trying to solve and what your objective is. Then technology becomes a true catalyst for experience, creativity, and entrepreneurial decision-making. Otherwise, it just speeds up the production of things nobody needs—and complexity and costs rise unnecessarily,» says Wyer.

Five fields, two input formats

The offering encompasses five interconnected areas: Strategy & Transformation, Business & Brand, Customer Experience, Digital Products & Platforms, and AI Strategy & Enablement. For a focused start, there are two compact formats—the Strategy Sprint and the Experience/AI Sprint. Over the course of four weeks, open-ended questions are structured, options are evaluated, and next steps are developed. According to the company, this process results in a solid basis for decision-making and—depending on the specific issue—initial concepts or prototypes before larger investments are made.

Experience gained from projects for Mobiliar, Helsana, and PostFinance

As UXD.Studio, the team worked for clients including Mobiliar, Helsana, PostFinance, mobilezone, the W.I.R.E. think tank, and Innovation Zürich. For Mobiliar, the team developed the AI Guide for the 200th-anniversary exhibition held at both headquarters—designed to bring the company’s history to life through personal interaction. For Helsana, the team created the Foresight Radar, which enables employees to systematically categorize trends and changes and translate them into strategic questions and decisions. This connection between strategy and implementation also forms the basis of WIR & WYER.

According to his own account, Chris Wyer has been working at the intersection of strategy, branding, product, customer experience, and technology for more than twenty years, including at Fjord/Accenture Interactive, ti&m, and Noumena Digital. He is a co-founder of the international automotive community THE DRIVERS, a fellow at the think tank W.I.R.E., holds a master’s degree in Trends, Design Thinking & Strategic Foresight from ZHdK, and has been honored with the Red Dot and iF Design Awards.

Medienmonitor Schweiz lanciert https://www.markt-kom.com/en/markom/medienmonitor-schweiz-lanciert/ Thu, Mar 21, 2013 12:09:42 AM +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=52924

Medienmonitor Schweiz gives customers access to the 150 most important national print titles and the most relevant feeds from the Swiss online media. Filter technologies ensure that the articles are pre-selected. Thanks to the web front-end, the results can be processed quickly and conveniently, for example as a press review or in the form of media analyses, as detailed in a press release.

Medienmonitor Schweiz was developed by Swissdox, Eurospider and Adwired. The media archive Swissdox, a subsidiary of SMD Schweizer Mediendatenbank, supplies the clippings for Medienmonitor Schweiz. Eurospider, a spin-off of the ETH, is an information retrieval expert and is contributing powerful filters to the project that will guarantee precise clipping pre-selection. The company Adwired is one of the leading providers in the field of high-end media monitoring and has developed a front end for Medienmonitor Schweiz that is intended to guarantee customers a clear and simply structured editorial process.

The Medienmonitor Schweiz service is aimed primarily at small and medium-sized companies with a manageable clipping volume. Medienmonitor Schweiz makes it easy for them to get started with professional media monitoring. Customers can view individual clippings as well as create simple evaluations of the media volume. For example, they can create their own dossiers or analyses with charts. Results can be compiled in reports and exported as PDFs or sent by e-mail. It is also possible to set up alerts that inform customers by e-mail if there is an increase in clipping.

The new application can be downloaded online at Medienmonitorschweiz.ch and can be started immediately. As it is browser-based, no additional installations are required. In contrast to many other offers, Medienmonitor Schweiz has a fixed price model that includes clipping costs. The cheapest subscription is available from CHF 400 per month, including 600 print articles per month and an unlimited number of online articles.
