1&1 has been using Zattoo's TV platform as the technical basis for its IPTV products, which are marketed under the name "1&1 TV", since 2017. Since then, Zattoo has systematically supported and expanded the compatibility of its own platform with various end devices such as set-top boxes and smart TVs as well as with mobile and web-based applications, meaning that 1&1 TV customers can now conveniently access "1&1 TV" via various channels.
The TV offering from 1&1 includes more than 155 channels as well as over 70 optional pay-TV channels and provides access to streaming platforms of public broadcasters. The integrated video-on-demand service "1&1 Cinema" with a large selection of thousands of top films to rent and buy as well as lots of free content rounds off 1&1 TV's comprehensive entertainment program.
The contract extension forms the basis for further growth and the long-term successful positioning of the Zattoo platform and 1&1 TV in the highly competitive TV and entertainment market.

"We are incredibly proud to continue our long-standing partnership with 1&1," says Roger Elsener, CEO of Zattoo. "The extension of the contract underlines the trusting cooperation and the joint efforts of Zattoo and 1&1 to provide first-class TV and entertainment offerings for a broad audience. We want to continue to provide innovative impetus in the future and thus offer 1&1 customers a compelling entertainment experience."
Ralph Dommermuth, CEO 1&1 AG, adds: "Not least thanks to our long-standing partnership with Zattoo, we have been able to develop 1&1 TV, a product that brings our claim of 'always better' to life. 1&1 TV is appreciated by our customers and by independent experts: In the renowned tests by connect and IMTEST, 1&1 TV was once again awarded 'very good' this year. We want to continue on this successful path and look forward to working with Zattoo in the future."
