Young Graphic Arts" Award with record number of entries

With 248 entries, the second edition of the Graphic Design Award once again received an unexpectedly large number of projects. On November 18, the 30 winning projects will be honored at Neubad Lucerne.

Junge Grafik aims to honor innovative and diverse graphic projects by students and trainees in Switzerland. Founded in 2019, the format is a mix of competition, networking event and party and is taking place for the second time this year. With 248 entries, Junge Grafik is establishing itself as one of the leading platforms for young graphic designers in Switzerland.

Each entry forms a unique contribution to the changing Swiss graphics scene. The selected works reflect the commitment and creativity of the participants, who are ready to influence the development in the field of graphics.

The jury, namely Alice Franchetti, Cédric Oppliger, Erich Brechbühl, Giliane Cachin, Leonardo Angelucci, Léo Monnet, Priscilla Balmer, Sarah Owens, selected the 30 most convincing works from all the submissions at the end of September. These will be presented and celebrated on November 18 at Neubad Lucerne. It is in the spirit of Junge Grafik that among the 30 winning works all language regions, all levels of education and all years of education are represented.

Key figures in the industry

The event gives talented young people the opportunity to network during their training and to get to know key figures in the industry. For them - industry experts, agencies, studios - it's an opportunity to get a direct insight into the minds of the next generation of graphic designers. Such networking opportunities can be crucial for further career development.

After the winners have been honored in the Neubad, the subsequent afterparty in the Neubad Klub offers an additional opportunity to exchange ideas and maintain contacts in an informal setting.

Each of the 30 winners will also be featured in a publication and presented on the competition website, giving them an optimal platform to share their work with a wide audience. New this year will be videos about the individual learners, in which they can talk about their work and creative work. These videos can be found on social media and will additionally be made available to schools as teaching aids.
